Dash Social

Discover the top trending TikTok hashtags to increase your reach and boost content visibility in April 2025.

What hashtags are trending on TikTok? This is an oft-asked question to our team, and the answers are vast. There are a host of popular TikTok hashtags (think '#FYP' and '#foryoupage') that can help your content's discoverability. However, these in particular have hundreds of billions of videos attached to them. The large number of videos sharing similar hashtags can increase the difficulty of your content appearing when searched. This is why finding a sweet spot for a popular — but not oversaturated — hashtag is critical.

Generally speaking, the best hashtags for visibility on TikTok have less than a million videos. This means that viewers looking at these hashtags have a greater chance of seeing your posts, and you have less competition regarding your videos being pushed to the For You Page based on their hashtag content. However, if a popular hashtag with over 1 million videos attached is specific and ultra-relevant to your brand, use it.

So, what hashtags should you use on TikTok? A mix of three to six hashtags is recommended, which lets you blend ultra-popular and trending hashtags — as long as they suit your content. Videos with various hashtags will receive higher awareness because you can tag as many different categories as you want. Your video can reach hundreds of different niche groups from just using a couple different hashtags.

Trump threatens to slap additional tariffs of 50 percent on China if they do not withdraw their 34 percent retaliatory levies against the United States. Trump said the deadline to withdraw them is Tuesday, and if China does not do so, his administration's extra tariffs will take effect the following day. China expressed firm opposition to the extra 50 percent U.S. tariffs, calling them a 'mistake,' and vowed resolute countermeasures to protect its rights and interests. The Chinese Commerce Ministry stated that the U.S. threat 'once again exposes the blackmail nature' of Washington, which China 'will never accept' and 'will fight to the end'. Trump's threat came as global stock markets have been tumbling in response to his most expansive tariff plans to date. On Wednesday, Trump unveiled sweeping new tariffs with a baseline of 10 percent for all imports, along with 'reciprocal' duties on goods from countries his administration claims are the worst offenders in trade relations.
